Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 2026

This policy explains what personal information ValiDeck International Corporation collects when you visit valideck.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. This policy is about the website. It is not a description of how the PCX protocol handles data. Those are separate things, and confusing them would be a mistake. If you want to know how PCX works, read the Technology page.

Who we are

ValiDeck International Corporation is a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Alok Narula, founder, is the individual accountable for our compliance with this policy and can be reached at alok.narula@valideck.com.

What we collect

When you contact us: If you use the contact form or email us, we receive whatever you send: your name, email address, and the contents of your message. If you call the number on the Contact page, we have your phone number.

When you express interest in a role: The Careers page asks you to email us a short introduction. That message, and anything you choose to include in it (your location, your specialization, links to your work) is personal information you have given us voluntarily.

When you visit the site: We use a third-party analytics service, Web-Stat, operated by Web Tracking Services, LLC. If you consent to analytics cookies, Web-Stat records:

  • your IP address
  • the approximate location and internet service provider derived from that IP address
  • your browser, operating system, and device type
  • the page you arrived on, the pages you viewed, and how you got to our site
  • the date and time of your visit
  • files you download and links you follow away from our site

Web-Stat sets a cookie that allows it to recognize your browser on later visits, so a repeat visit is recorded as a return rather than as a new one. Web-Stat is a US based company that processes this information on its servers. We use it to understand how much traffic the site receives and which pages people read.

Our hosting provider, Namecheap, separately records standard server log data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, and the time of the request) as every web server does. This is necessary to serve the site and to keep it secure.

When you download a document: Our white paper, elevator pitch, and slide deck are open downloads. You do not need to give us your name or email to read them. If you have consented to analytics, Web-Stat records the download as described above.

What we do not collect

We do not collect payment information, government identifiers, or health information through this website. We do not buy personal information from data brokers. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, and we do not use your information for advertising. We are not currently operating a product. Nothing on this website collects transaction data from you.

Why we collect it

We use the information you send us to reply to you, to evaluate you for a role if that is what you have asked us to do, and to keep a record of the correspondence. We use analytics to understand site traffic. We use server logs for security and site operation. That is the whole list.

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, our lawful bases are your consent (when you contact us, send us an expression of interest, or accept analytics cookies) and our legitimate interest in operating a functioning and secure website (server logs).

Cookies

This site uses one category of non-essential cookie: analytics, set by Web-Stat, as described above. We ask for your consent before any analytics cookie is set. If you decline, Web-Stat does not load and nothing is recorded about your visit beyond the server logs our host keeps in order to serve the page. Declining costs you nothing: every page and every download works the same either way.

You can change your mind at any time through the cookie settings link on the site, and you can block or clear cookies through your browser.

Who else sees it

Web-Stat (Web Tracking Services, LLC) receives the analytics data described above. Our email is hosted by Gmail and our website by Namecheap. We do not otherwise share your personal information, except where we are legally required to.

These providers store and process data outside Canada, including in the United States. Where that happens, your information is subject to the laws of that country.

How long we keep it

We keep correspondence for as long as it is useful and then delete it. Expressions of interest are kept until the role is filled or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. Analytics data is retained by Web-Stat under its own retention schedule. Server logs are retained for the period set by our hosting provider. If you want us to delete something, ask, and we will.

Your rights

Under Canadian law (PIPEDA), you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and challenge our handling of it. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you additionally have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal information, to receive a copy of it in portable form, and to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent to analytics does not affect anything you did on the site before you withdrew it. You can complain to your national supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email alok.narula@valideck.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes

We will update this page when what we do changes, and we will move the effective date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say what changed.
