This policy explains how ValiDeck International Corporation handles personal information associated with this website. It applies when you visit valideck.com, contact us, express interest in working with ValiDeck, or voluntarily provide information through another interaction described below. ValiDeck follows a simple principle for this website: collect as little personal information as reasonably necessary to operate the site, understand how it is being used, and respond to people who contact us.
The sections below explain what information may be collected, why it is collected, which service providers may process it on our behalf, how long it is retained, and the choices and rights available to you.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not use personal information collected through this website for advertising or behavioural profiling.
This policy is about the website, not the PCX protocol
This Privacy Policy governs ValiDeck’s corporate website and related communications. It is not a description of how the Privacy-Compliant eXtensible (PCX) protocol handles transaction records, pseudonyms, tokens, or other protocol data. That distinction is important. The website is an ordinary public-facing information service that uses conventional web infrastructure and third-party service providers. PCX, by contrast, is a proposed technical architecture designed around privacy-preserving transaction records, pseudonymous association, and controlled use of data.
Any future PCX implementation, pilot, or production service would be governed by the privacy, security, contractual, and regulatory requirements applicable to that implementation. It should not be inferred from the operation of this website. For an explanation of the PCX architecture and its privacy model, see the Technology page.
What we collect
When you contact us
If you use the contact form or email us, we receive whatever you send: your name, email address, and the contents of your message. If you call the number on the Contact page, we have your phone number.
When you express interest in a role
The Careers page asks you to email us a short introduction. That message, and anything you choose to include in it such as your location, your specialization, or links to your work, is personal information you have given us voluntarily.
When you download a document
Our PCX white paper, elevator pitch, and slide deck are open downloads. You do not need to provide your name or email address to access them. Requests for these files may appear in the standard server logs maintained to deliver and secure the website.
When you visit the site
We use Burst Statistics, a self-hosted analytics tool running within this WordPress website, to understand how the site is used. Burst operates in Private mode without analytics cookies or browser fingerprinting. It records:
- the pages viewed and approximate time spent on them
- the date and time of the visit
- the referring source, when available
- browser, operating system, and device type
- the visitor’s country, derived from the IP address
Burst temporarily processes the IP address and browser user agent on our server to determine the country and generate an irreversible identifier using a salt that changes daily. The raw IP address and raw user agent are then discarded and are not stored in the analytics database. The identifier is not designed to recognize the same visitor across different days or sessions.
The resulting analytics remain in ValiDeck’s WordPress database, hosted by Namecheap. Visitor analytics are not sent to Burst or another analytics provider. Separately, Namecheap records standard server-log information, such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, and request time, as necessary to deliver and secure the website.
What we do not collect
We do not collect payment information, government identifiers, or health information through this website. We do not buy personal information from data brokers.
This website does not collect transaction data.
Why we collect it
We use the information you send us to reply to you, evaluate you for a role if that is what you have asked us to do, and maintain a record of the correspondence. We use privacy-preserving analytics to understand site traffic and which content is read. We use server logs for security and site operation. We do not use this information for advertising or behavioral profiling.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, our lawful bases are your consent when you voluntarily contact us or express interest in a role, and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and understanding the use of this website. Where consent is legally required for an optional service, that service remains disabled until you consent.
Cookies
This website does not use analytics cookies. Burst Statistics operates in Private mode without setting cookies or creating a browser fingerprint.
The website may use strictly necessary cookies or local storage for basic operation, security, and remembering privacy preferences. Any optional cookie-based service is controlled through the cookie banner and, where required, remains disabled until you consent. You can change your choices through the cookie-settings link on the website or block or clear cookies through your browser.

Declining optional cookies does not limit access to any page or download. Burst may still record a privacy-preserving, cookieless visit as described above.
Who else sees it, and for how long
Two providers perform specific operational functions for this website. We do not otherwise share your personal information except where legally required.
Hosts our email, and so holds your correspondence with us.
Hosts the website and retains the server logs for the period it sets.
Our own retention is straightforward: we keep correspondence for as long as it remains useful and then delete it. We keep expressions of interest until the role is filled or until you ask us to delete them, whichever occurs first. We retain website analytics only while they remain reasonably useful for comparing traffic over time and delete them when they are no longer needed.
These providers store and process data outside Canada, including in the United States. Where that happens, your information is subject to the laws of that country.
Rights and responsibilities
Your privacy rights depend on where you are located. The principal rights applicable to visitors in Canada, the European Union, and the United Kingdom are summarized below.
In Canada
If Canadian privacy law applies, you may ask what personal information ValiDeck holds about you, how it has been used or disclosed, and request access to it. You may also ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete and raise concerns about how your information has been handled.
If we cannot resolve a privacy concern with you directly, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
In the European Union and the United Kingdom
If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and in some circumstances to object to processing or receive your information in a portable form.
Where processing depends on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority responsible for your jurisdiction.
Children and policy changes
This website is not directed to children, and ValiDeck does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children through it. If we become aware that personal information has been provided by a child in circumstances where it should not have been collected, we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the website, our practices, or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top of the page will be revised whenever the policy is materially updated.
Who is accountable
ValiDeck International Corporation is responsible for the personal information under its control and for maintaining appropriate privacy practices for this website.
Alok Narula, founder, is the individual designated to receive privacy questions, access or correction requests, and concerns about ValiDeck’s handling of personal information.
